Oleksandr Chaikin is PhD in Economic Sciences, International Cooperation Department leading specialist, senior lecturer at Ecological Safety and Environmental Economics Department of Zhytomyr National Agroecological University, Ukraine. He has started his scientific research with Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal in the field of social entrepreneurship and rural inclusive growth.

The Institute knows Oleksandr through ongoing scientific collaboration. He has graduated from Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal institute, Social Entrepreneur School IBS in May 2019, was a Keynote speaker at the 64th Summit Conversations on Emergent Issues in Social Entrepreneurship, and presented his the most current research results on the topic named “Socially responsible entrepreneurship and rural inclusive growth”. The exchange visit takes place at the Institute's venue from Friday, June 21, 2019 to Sunday, June 30. The exchange is organized according to Article 1 in Cooperation Agreement between Zhytomyr National Agroecological University, Ukraine and Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute.

Additionally, Oleksandr took part in Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State (USA). The winner of the scholarship of Faculty Exchange Program (FEP) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Colorado State University (USA). He took part in Professional Experience Exchange of “German-Ukrainian cooperation in the field of organic farming” project, Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Germany (Germany).

His scientific interests are inclusive growth, social entrepreneurship, sustainable development and ecologically certificated production.
Oleksandr is the author of more than more than 50 scientific works, including 1 foreign collective monograph, 10 articles in foreign scientific periodicals and Ukraine scientific specialized periodicals that belong to the international scientometric databases, 7 in Ukraine scientific specialized professional periodicals, 35 scientific publications that testify research results approbation.
