Welcome Anastasiia Shyshykina from Polisiia National University

Anastasiia Shyshykina is a first-year student at Polissia National University (Ukraine). The student is an active participant in a variety of societies, including the Ukrainian Society and the Politics Society. She is also actively engaged in volunteering work at the Global Lounge, where she collaborates with international students to promote cultural and social exchange as well as support the integration of diverse communities. In addition, she has volunteered with the Devon Ukrainian Association (DUA), where her main role was to support and strengthen Ukrainian identity among newly arrived Ukrainians. Through this work, she contributed to community cohesion, mutual support, and the preservation of cultural heritage during a challenging period. Considering the student’s experience and strong interest in extracurricular and civic engagement, her research will focus on volunteering and its significance in Ukrainian context. In particular, the proposed topic for the conference paper will discover the role of volunteering in social development in Ukraine.
