    Foresight har i de senere år fått økt bruk innenfor mange sammenhenger, og promoteres aktivt av både EU-kommisjonen og Forskningsrådet som virkemiddel for regional innovasjonspolitikk. Mens metoden har sterkest røtter innenfor forsknings- og teknologipolitikk, har den også funnet sin anvendelse innenfor så forskjellige temaområder som forløp av atomkrig og klimatilpasning. Innledningen vil ta for seg bakgrunnen for foresight-metoden, hovedtrekk i bruken av den og visse problemstillinger knyttet til demokrati og kunnskapsteori. Innlederen vil presentere tre av hans pågående prosjekter hvor foresight tas i bruk.

    Første del av stormøtet får vi presentert et sosialentreprenørprosjekt av en deltaker i nettverket. Vi ønsker å formidle hvordan sosiale entreprenører kan jobbe innovativt opp mot kommunale prosjekter og aktiviteter på lokalt plan. Andre del av stormøtet får vi et innlegg om etableringsformer for sosiale entreprenører.
