Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal’s (Norway) visit

Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal, the founder, owner, Director and President of his privately owned Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute is teaching the courses of Business Philosophy and Consumer Behaviour at ALYTAUS KOLEGIJA University of Applied Sciences during the period of 20 – 31 October 2014. He is a recipient of a support programme for foreigners teaching at Lithuanian institutions of higher education funded by the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Lithuania.

Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal is well established business and economic development researcher and international expert on innovation and social entrepreneurship.Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal collaborates with researchers, lecturers, entrepreneurs, students and practitioners in Norway and across the world. Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal introduced social entrepreneurship as a scientific field to the Nordic countries in 2003. Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal is the founder and chair of Summit in Social Entrepreneurship (privately owned by Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute), offering an open series of seminars for scientists and entrepreneurs promoting the understanding of innovative development. Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal has founded Summit Fund (Stormøtefondet), a privately owned fund (by Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute)for grants to promote scientific research and excellence in innovation and social entrepreneurship. Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal is scientific adviser to the Royal Norwegian Department of Commerce on issues concerning Social Entrepreneurship and Nordic Council board discussant in issues on Social Entrepreneurship.
