Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute invites to Sandal Institute Exchange SIE 2025 in Norway. The main goals of the Sandal Institute Exchange SIE 2025 are to write a scientific article or book chapter for publishing or making a scientific or pragmatic project and preparing for presentation at a Summit. Furthermore, based on the experience at Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute, increasing scientific interaction, and developing effective knowledge transfer mechanisms. Students will prepare themselves for higher academic studies at Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute and other high-ranking academic institutions worldwide. Sandal Institute Exchange SIE 2025 period in Norway is from 8th October 2025 until 1st February 2026, program period starting September 8, 2025, 5 classes, each class 8 nights 9 days duration. Four participants per class only. Please contact your university international/academic or mobility/exchange officer for more information.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Be a Social Entrepreneur School IBS alumnus or a representative of universities and colleges in the Sandal Institute Global network, which now comprises 45 units in 8 countries on 4 continents. Completing of Social Entrepreneur School IBS provided by Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute.
• Start preparing an article or project concerning Sandal Institute Exchange SIE 2025 in Norway activities before coming. Finishing the article or project during the Sandal Institute Exchange SIE 2025 in Norway.
• Be ready for keynote speaking at a Summit Conversation on Emerging Issues in Social Entrepreneurship.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE 

1. To complete your application, you will need to submit 3 forms/documents:
   • Copy of the first page of your international passport (Name_Passport.pdf);
   • Letter of Motivation where you describe the relevance of your candidacy, you motivation for applying and the idea of your science article (signed by the applicant, not more 1 page A4, Name_Motivation.pdf);
   • Curriculum Vitae, use http://europass.cedefop.europa.eu/documents/curriculum-vitae (Name_CV.pdf);
2. Documents that do not meet the requirements will not be considered.
3. Send documents in 1 email (letter subject – SPME_Name) to the SPME coordinator: jan-u.sandal@janusandal.no
4. Application deadlines are set for each class individually.
5. Out of all applications, Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute will choose the 20 most relevant candidates for participation.
6. Qualified candidates will be notified continuously. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Accommodation, transportation in Norway and dietary expenses during the Sandal Institute Exchange SIE 2025 in Norway are covered by Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute Grant ES-01-A. Participants must have travel insurance and cover private expenses plus flights to, and from Oslo Gardermoen Airport. Students will be charged student fees/donations.

Sandal Institute welcomes applications from academics who are employed at a university overseas for visits of between one month and one year to engage in world-class research and innovative pedagogy with a global impact. The main goals of the Sandal Institute International Visiting Researchers SIR are writing scientific articles or book chapters for publishing or making a scientific or pragmatic project and preparing presentations for Summits. Furthermore, based on the experience at Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute, the activities will increase scientific interaction and develop effective knowledge transfer mechanisms. Visitors will prepare themselves for higher academic studies at Fil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Institute and other high-ranking academic institutions worldwide. Sandal Institute International Visiting Researchers SIR program welcomes applications continuously. Most visitors will apply for research funding to cover their visit to the Institute, from their home university or from external funding schemes.

	Sandal Private Museum Exchange Programme Call for applications

Sandal Private Museum Exchange (SPME) is the short scientific mobility program to Norway. The main goals of the exchange are writing a scientific article for publishing and preparing a scientific guide presentation based on theexperience inFil. Dr. Jan-U. Sandal Private Museum, increasing science interaction, developing effectiveknowledge transfer mechanisms.

Exchange period is from 7th till 16th of June, 2019.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• To be a highly qualified scholar (full professor or scientific doctor degree holder) with a background in History, Economic History, and/or Museum Science.
• Be a Social Entrepreneur School IBS alumni and a representative of universities and colleges in the Sandal Institute Global network, which is comprising at the moment 11 units in 7 countries on 4 continents.
• Start preparing an article concerning Museum scientific activities before coming. Fulfilling the article during the exchange.
• Be ready for keynote speaking at the 65th Summit of Social Entrepreneurship on June 14, 2019.

1. To complete your application, you will need to submit 3 forms/documents:

In the footsteps of Joseph Alois Schumpeter "- presentation of the book by Prof. Fil. Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal (Norway)

April 24, 2019, Prof. Fil. Dr. Jan-Urban Sandal (Norway), who holds a series of lectures on Social Entrepreneurship, presented to the University Library a book of his own research on the work of Joseph Alois Schumpeter, an Austrian and American economist, sociologist and historian of economic thought. The book is the result of a four-year study that the author conducted in four countries, with which the life and work of the prominent economist is connected: Austria, Germany, the USA, Japan. The study was conducted on the basis of studying the primary sources from the libraries, museums and archives, the University of Harvard, and also on the basis of conversations with more than 100 scholars and researchers of the works of Schumpeter. The book, which also is in the US Library of Congress, focuses on the early period of the life and work of the scientist, who argued that the most important part of human life is the first three decades.
